About Us
A penny for your thoughts indeed. Around here that would be a raise.

What makes a good blog? I think thematic consistency, a little exhibitionism, and honest writing. I can promise you the last one.

Most of my posts seem to be about music or politics. Some of them are funny. But all of them would love to hear a comment from you.

Oh-- and please welcome God to the APW team. We're thrilled and humbled to serve as His earthly vessel.

Name:
Location: NYC

I was born at a relatively young age. Growing up consumed the better part of my childhood. As a young man I chased a lot of girls. But they kept getting away. Then I got older and even slower, so I got married. I've lived in New York City almost since before I moved here. I summer in Manhattan, which is like New York City, but with more humidity.

Here's me, without baby, thinking big thoughts. (Actually, what I'm thinking is, "Hey, these aren't Pringles!") I think I look better with baby.

APW FLASH! APW Forces Bush to Knees!
Tuesday, September 13, 2005
In a late-breaking non-exclusive, A Penny's Worth has learned that President Bush has buckled to our pressure (see below) and taken full responsibility for the flood disaster.

APW humbly sumbits that this is what being an American is all about.

*******

In all seriousness, Bush surprised me by doing the right thing and copping to responsibility here. Obviously he was made to do so against his will (you can SO tell when he is uncomfortable with what he is saying; he is like an open book.) But Americans are a remarkably forgiving people, provided you ask for the forgiveness. Which, by copping to the blame, Bush has essentialy done. Good political damage control. I wonder who in the administration had the good sense to recommend humility? It really isn't their style.

Wow! I totally agree! Its always so easy to forgive someone after they've had their crow dinner, but I don't buy his insincere apology any more than I would buy one from Saddam Hussein for gassing the Kurds, y'know?

(yes, I'm haunting your "adult" blog as well)

Shanna banana, I know exactly what you mean. You could tell how insincere he was by the forced way in which he spoke. I'd like to link to video of it and may search for some.

Check out Maureen Dowd on the topic (NY Times requires registration):

I'll have to check it out tonight. I have done way too much not working today LOL Yes, I think body language plays a greater role in your impression of someone's sincerity, or lack thereof, than most people realize. You would think a life-long politician would realize that, wouldn't you?
