Really, Its More of an UN-Civil War...
Tuesday, November 28, 2006
Big story this week is, whether or not the situation in Iraq has deteriorated into Civil War. Arguing yea: Matt Lauer, on behalf of NBC. Arguing nay: Tony Snow, on behalf of President Bush.Is it all semantics? The phrase "civil war" would have political implications here in the US, because Iraq in civil war would essentially comprise a text book definition of failure for Bush and his policies.
Me, I think we should split the difference and just use the term, "shitstorm."

It's like the Bush administration was hatched out of someone's forehead--someone really, really dumb--and have never even heard of American history. "Military Action" or "War"? "peacekeepers" or "soldiers"? "patriots" or "insurgents"? It's like no one in the What House ever even watched a rerun of M*A*S*H.
I meant White House. But actually it's kind of funny the other way too.
